Calendar of Events Year 'round we invite your participation in our many diverse activities . . . Upcoming Month Activities March 18, 19, 20, 2005 - the 34rd Annual Audubon Pilgrimage - By the West Feliciana Historical Society, private historic homes and two gardens are opened for tours as well as Rural Homestead and our historic churches in the downtown. Period dances will be executed by local children around town. For more details and homes featured call (225) 635-6330 email:wfhist@bsf.net April 1, 2, 3, 2005 Audubon Country BirdFest The Annual birding festival, "Audubon Country BirdFest" promises a wide array of birding field trips into spectacular wildlife areas showcasing the large number of both migratory and resident birds of the Felicianas, where John James Audubon produced art work on over 80 species. Guided field-trips, workshops, seminars and speakers highlight the festival. April 2005, Easter Sunday - Easter Sunrise Services at Hemingbough - Outdoor observance in the amphitheater. Inmate Art Show and Sale, too. (225) 655-4411 March 2005 - Annual Jeep Jamboree - Conquer nearby trails that cross deep ravines, wind through sandy beaches, and carve through heavily forested areas. June 11, 2005 - The Day the War Stopped - "A story of love, loss, and dignity , proving that even in the midst of the impossible, all things are possible." Carolers and open houses in our shops are part of a fun weekend that includes the best small town Christmas Parade anywhere! We also offer a tour of contemporary homes, and a live walk through Nativity.
