Board of Alderman (Town Council)
Description: As elected officials, members of the Board of Aldermen make decisions and set policy to insure the safety, health, attractiveness, economic and social well-being of the community.
Responsibilities: Include planning and zoning, utilities, property taxes, occupational licenses, liquor licenses, and building permits.
Position Status: Five member council elected by the public every four years, 4 members at-large and one district.
Meetings: Open to the public. Submit items for the agenda by Thursday the week prior to the meeting.
Meeting Schedules: Regular board meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday each month at 5:30 pm.
Meeting Location: Held at Town Hall Meeting Room at 11936 Ferdinand Street.
